Many individuals and teams are already using agile development techniques as part of their daily work. In this talk we discuss lessons from the use of agile approaches, and consider the scalability of agile approaches through the experiences at Scrum.org.  Based on the principles of Scrum and the Agile Manifesto, Scrum.org provides comprehensive training, assessments and certifications to improve the profession of software delivery.
 
Throughout the world, our solutions and community of Professional Scrum Trainers empower people and organisa-tions to achieve agility through Scrum. Dave West is the CEO and Product Owner at Scrum.org. He is a frequent keynote at major industry confer-ences and is a widely published au-thor of articles and research reports, along with his acclaimed book: Head First Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, that helped define new software modelling and application development processes. He led the develop-ment of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) for IBM/
 
 
Alan W. Brown Executive Director, Surrey CoDE
 
 
Alan W. Brown is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Surrey’s Busi-ness School. Alan’s research is focused on the relationship between technology innovation and business innovation in today’s rapidly-evolving digital economy. He has over 25 years of experi-ence in commercial high tech companies leading R&D teams, building leading-edge solutions, and driving innovation in software product delivery. He is the founder and executive director of the Surrey ‘Centre for the Digital Economy’ (CoDE).
