TISICS develops and manufactures light weight, high strength titanium matrix composites for space, aviation and energy sectors. TISICS works in partnership applying our technology to customer products, from our unique UK facility.

TISICS is the only company developing and manufacturing silicon carbide monofilament and reinforced titanium matrix composites outside the USA. This technology was originally developed for hypersonic aircraft and defence. TISICS is working on civil aircraft applications such as landing gear, brakes and engines with tier one aerospace companies. Weight reduction leads to reduced fuel costs and CO2 emissions. Flight use is expected 2017 to 2020 . The very high strength and stiffness coupled with low density and corrosion resistance makes titanium composite technology attractive for a much wider range of industries especially civil space applications where weight reduction has a significant value. The corrosion resistance is particularly important as REACH directives outlaw Chrome IV and cadmium systems, making it suitable for deep water oil and gas production.
